And Then There Were Three…

It all started with a murder! On a dark and stormy night three amateur detectives met to solve a horrendous crime…

The Dumb Witnesses is a new generation fan site and a community dedicated to Agatha Christie and the Golden Age of crime fiction.  We are three avid readers and writers who love the Queen of Crime, and all crime writers who can shock, scare, amuse and send shivers down our spines . In 2015 we met at the International Agatha Christie festival in Torquay at a murder mystery dinner and after solving a “crime” together, decided to form The DumbWitnesses.

How long have you been a Agatha Christie fan?

At age 12 I had started showing signs of obsession with murder mysteries; which my grandparents very kindly noticed and suggested I watch the 1974 Murder on the Orient Express. The image of that kimono clad woman walking down the train corridor stuck in my head and I went on to devour every Christie I could get my hands on.

Favourite Christie novel:

Evil Under the Sun

Favourite detective:

Papa Poirot

Favourite character(s):

Ariadne Oliver

Favourite quote:

“Every murderer is probably somebody’s old friend” – Agatha Christie

  1. Hi Leena, Sahiba and Marco,

I think you’ve put together a great fan site, and I’ve enjoyed reading it. May I ask just one thing, that you credit any imagery that you have used that has originated from The Christie Archive Trust? If you email me back I can point out which images I refer to.

    Many thanks

    • Hi Joe
      I hope you’re well!
Apologies for such a late reply; the blog had taken a backseat for a while due to our full time jobs but now we’re back in action!
Yes please point out the images that need to be credited.
Also, could you please give me your email address? It will be nice to chat about potential collaborations for the future.
      Best wishes
      Sahiba
